Plans for the weekend: Dead Can Dance, sold out

• The monthly Salt Lake Gallery Stroll happens tonight at galleries in downtown Salt Lake City and beyond. The stroll goes from 6 to 9 p.m. It's a free event; go to the Gallery Stroll website for a list of participating galleries.

• Indie-rock singer/songwriter Sharon Van Etten performs tonight at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Tennis. Show starts at 9. Tickets are $17, at 24Tix.

• Aussie world-music band Dead Can Dance performs tonight at Red Butte Garden, 300 Wakara Way, University of Utah campus, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7:30. Sold out.

Real Salt Lake takes on F.C. Dallas in Major League Soccer action, Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium, 9200 S. State St., Sandy. Game starts at 7. Tickets available at the Rio Tinto website.
