Plans for tonight: Blitzkid's final run

• Mariachi Sol de Jalisco plays traditional Mexican music, at the Chase Home Museum of Utah Folk Arts, 600 E. 1100 South (in Liberty Park), Salt Lake City. Ballet Folkloriico de las Americas will perform, and slam poet Willy Palomo will perform at intermission. Show starts at 7. Free.
• The disaster epic "The Towering Inferno," starring Paul Newman and Steve McQueen, will screen at the Gallivan Center, 239 S. Main St., Salt Lake City. Show starts at 9. Free, presented by the Utah Film Center.
