Here's what's happening today in pop culture:
• "Texting friendly" theaters? No way, says Tim League of the Alamo Drafthouse, who calls the idea rude to filmmakers and to audiences -- as well as an insult to 20-somethings stereotyped as text-addicted egotists. [Alamo Drafthouse]
• Rudy Giuliani saw "Ted" the other night, and apparently didn't laugh at the 9/11 jokes. [The Huffington Post]
• It was a busy 24 hours at the obituary desk, as we lost country legend Kitty Wells, "Encyclopedia Brown" creator Donald J. Sobol, and "Bewitched" producer and "Beach Blanket Bingo" director William Asher. [AP, via The Salt Lake Tribune; Washington Post; The Hollywood Reporter]
