Here's what's happening today in pop culture:
• Disney/Pixar's first female-leading adventure, "Brave," took the top spot at the box office this weekend, witn $66.7 million. The weekend's other big studio opening, "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," earned an anemic $16.5 million. [Box Office Mojo]
• "Brave" also produced the weekend's most asinine internet meme: The suggestion that the teen princess, Merida, might be gay. The evidence: She likes sports, and turns up her nose at the three dorky suitors presented to her. Yes, girls of America, Entertainment Weekly's lesson for today is that you're either a doormat for the first boy who circles or you're a lesbian. [Entertainment Weekly, Yidio]
• Answer: A shooting pain down the left arm may indicate this. Question: What is a heart attack, Alex? (Seriously, here's hoping for a quick recovery for "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek.) [Los Angeles Times]
