The word on the inaugural Sundance London Film and Music Festival, which ended its four-day run on Sunday, is that it was "a qualified success," according to The Independent's Kaleem Aftab.
Meanwhile, the BBC quotes The Times' Kate Muir: "It looks as if Sundance-on-Thames has been a success."
The weekend featured 27 movies (including many titles that played at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City last January) and live peformances by the likes of Rufus and Martha Wainwright and "Once" troubadour Glen Hansard.
But the highlight was Saturday's appearance of Prince Charles, onstage with Robert Redford to introduce his environmental documentary "Harmony." (The movie's directors, Julie Bergman Sender and Stuart Sender, blogged about the experience on The Huffington Post.)
The best one-liner of the weekend may have come (as reported by Aftab) from Rufus Wainwright, commenting on the London weather: "We could be in Utah: the weather is so s—-."
