See a piece of Mars: 'John Carter' props on display

The Utah Film Commission has a little bit of Mars outside their offices today.
Props from "John Carter," the space epic whose Martian landscapes were shot in southern Utah, will be on display today outside the film commission's offices on Capitol Hill.
The props include banners of the Heliumites and Zodangans (the rival forces in the civil war depicted in the film), and statues of the nine-foot-tall Tharks who also live on Barsoom (the Martian word for Mars).
People are invited to see the props, and have their pictures taken with them, today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. outside the Utah Film Commission offices, at Council Hall, 300 N. State St., Salt Lake City - across the street from the Utah State Capitol.
