Here (a little bit late) is what people are talking about today in pop culture:

• Oh, for crying out loud: Lou Dobbs and his Fox Business Channel guests went off on Hollywood "indoctrinating a liberal agenda" on our youth - citing "The Lorax" (based on a 40-year-old Dr. Seuss book) and "The Secret World of Arrietty" (based on an even older book, and animated in Japan) as examples. [New York Daily News]

• If MTV fans voted on the Oscars, they'd pick "The Help" for Best Picture, and giving acting honors to Brad Pitt, Viola Davis, Melissa McCarthy and Nick Nolte. [The Hollywood Reporter]

• J.K. Rowling has signed a deal to publish her first novel for adults. You mean the "Harry Potter" books are for kids? (I'm midway through "Order of the Phoenix" right now.) [Book Trade]
