TLC's spokeswoman can't get a break, even in Utah

Laurie Goldberg wanted a quiet vacation in Utah -- but that was interrupted by talk of moonshine.
Goldberg is the top spokeswoman for TLC, the cable channel that has featured such controversial reality programs as "Jon & Kate Plus Eight," "Sister Wives" and "All-American Muslim."
In a profile by The New York Times' Brian Stelter, Goldberg is depicted as a quiet behind-the-scenes public-relations person -- seldom commenting on the record (even for Stelter's profile), but often working to guide coverage of TLC's programming to let the shows speak for themselves.
The work never stops, Stelter wrote. While on vacation vacation in Utah last week, Goldberg fielded press questions about the authenticity of "Moonshiners," a new show on TLC's sister network, The Discovery Channel.
