• Singing star David Archuleta surprised a Salt Lake City audience Monday night by announcing he will be suspending his music career to go on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. [The Salt Lake Tribune]

• The Writers Guild of America has restored the screenwriting credit for the 1953 classic "Roman Holiday" to blacklisted writer Dalton Trumbo. [Los Angeles Times]
