Here's what's happening in pop culture:

• The Disney Channel movie "Good Luck Charlie: It's Christmas," which brought the holidays to Salt Lake City's The Gateway last spring (when it filmed around Utah), scored impressive ratings when it debuted Friday night — becoming the top live-action TV movie on cable this year. [The Hollywood Reporter]

• Alan Sues, the most flamboyant (that's code for "gay") cast member on "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In," has died at the age of 85. [Los Angeles Times]

• For the third weekend in a row, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1" won the box-office race. "The Muppets," "Hugo" and "Arthur Christmas" followed in a slow weekend. [Box Office Mojo]
