• Folk-pop duo The Weepies perform tonight at The State Room, 638 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Show starts at 9 p.m. The show is sold out.

• The Utah Beer Festival happens Saturday at the City-County Building, 500 S. State St., Salt Lake City. The event runs from 1 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance, $25 on the day of the event ($5 designated driver discount), at SmithsTix. Must be 21 or older to attend.

• Folk-rock band Carbon Leaf performs Saturday at The State Room, 638 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Opening act: Chamberlin. Show starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $14, at the State Room website.

• Country band Little Big Town performs Sunday at the Deer Valley Outdoor Amphitheatre, 2250 Deer Park Drive, Park City. Show starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $35 for lawn seating, $65 for reserved seating, at the Eccles Center website.

• The jazz combo Return to Forever - featuring Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke - performs Sunday at Red Butte Garden, 300 Wakara Way, University of Utah campus, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Zappa Plays Zappa. Show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $53, at the Red Butte website.
