A year ago, the Trail Blazers added former Jazz point guards Mo Williams and Earl Watson to their roster.
This summer, Portland is continuing the trend.
Signed a few weeks into the 2013-14 season, Garrett established a spot for himself on the rebuilding Jazz. He appeared in 71 games, averaging 3.5 points and 1.7 assists. But the guard and his non-guaranteed deal were traded to the Toronto Raptors in July for Steve Novak. Garrett was cut by the Raptors, clearing the way for his move to Portland.
