Tweet with caution.
Malcolm Thomas got a quick lesson in that Friday, when the newest member of the Utah Jazz's posted a vague message on Twitter, causing a few curious fans to wonder if he had been let go.
"Well I guess the search continues…," Thomas wrote Friday evening before heading to American Airlines Center for pre-game warmups.
It's certainly not unprecedented at this point for a player to break news over Twitter, but Thomas' search had little to do with basketball.
The Jazz forward was actually in search of a pair of sneakers — the latest LeBron James Black History Month releases from Nike to be exact.
"Sorry guys didn't mean to worry you," Thomas tweeted later. "I couldn't find the shoes I was looking for. Lol."
