Game preview: Jazz at Clippers

He scored 14 points and assisted his teammates seven times in Friday night's win over the Los Angeles Lakers, but Trey Burke is looking for a bounce-back game tonight against the Clippers.

"I have to learn from it and try to get better," Burke, the Jazz's first-year point guard, said of his seven turnovers in the game.

Before Friday, Burke's season high turnovers (5) came in Utah's win over the Chicago Bulls, not long after the rookie's return from injury.

Against L.A., Burke said he struggled to adjust to a new defense.

"They flooded that strong side a lot when I came off that screen," he said. "Usually that pocket pass is there and it wasn't there [Friday]. I kind of forced it a little bit. I'll watch film on this game and I'll learn from my mistakes."

Even with his season-high seven giveaways, Burke is ninth among all point guards with a 3.06 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Burke's ankle will be something to watch as well.

After rolling his left ankle late in the first quarter, Burke had X-rays taken and his ankle re-taped.

"It feels fin right now," he said after the win. "I'm just going to ice it and get it ready for tomorrow. … I babied it at first, but after two or three minutes, I was fine."
