Orlando, Fla. • Victor Oladipo's Indiana Hoosiers beat Trey Burke's Michigan Wolverines twice last season. But as the two rookie guards face off tonight at Amway Center, they say theirs is a rivalry built on respect.Burke was the No. 142 ranked recruit coming out of high school. Oladipo was ranked No. 144. But both players fought their way to spots in last year's draft lottery."He's a guy that's kind of like me, he wasn't really highly recruited and had to prove himself," Burke said of Orlando's Oladipo. The Jazz point guard called Oladipo "an exciting player" and a "great defender."The Magic guard dished out admiration, too."The way he got to where he's at, he definitely had to work hard to get there," Oladipo said of Burke. "He wasn't highly recruited coming out of high school either. So much respect for him. I've always respected his game."Burke is averaging 12.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists a game for Utah. Oladipo is putting up 13.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists a night."He does a lot of things very well," Oladipo said. "He can get a bucket anytime he wants, really. He has a solid outside shot. He can get into the lane really well and he can create for others. We have to do a good job of containing him today."Tipoff • 5 p.m. MT.TV • ROOT SportsRadio • 97.5 FM, 960 AM, 1280 AMUtah's probable starters:PG — Trey Burke, 12.4 ppg, 4.9 apgSG — Gordon Hayward, 16.9 ppg, 5.3 rpgSF — Richard Jefferson, 19.9 ppg, 2.9 rpgPF — Marvin Williams, 10.1 ppg, 5 rpgC — Derrick Favors, 13.6 ppg, 9.1 rpgMiami's probable starters:PG — Jameer Nelson, 12.9 ppg, 6.2 apgSG — Victor Oladipo, 13.8 ppg, 4.5 rpgSF — Arron Afflalo, 21.6 ppg, 4.7 rpgPF — Glen Davis, 13.1 ppg, 6.8 rpgC — Nikola Vucevic, 13.9 ppg, 11.4 rpgOn the Jazz: Have lost two in a row, though the competition has been tough: the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat, the two participants in last season's NBA Finals. … Playing their second game of a five-game road swing. … Had a halftime lead in Miami, before being out-rebounded and generally outplayed in the second half.On the Magic: Coached by former Utah Jazz guard Jacques Vaughn. … Starting a two-week home stand after playing much of the first half of December on the road. … Former Nuggets guard Arron Afflalo is the team's leading scorer. The spread: Orlando -4.5, per Bovada.lv.HOT: Alec Burks is coming off a career-high 31-point night in Miami.NOT: The Jazz's starting backcourt combined for just 10 points Monday.— Aaron Falk
