The Jazz are expected to sign veteran sharpshooter Blake Ahearn, The Salt Lake Tribune learned on Monday afternoon.Ahearn's expected signing was first reported by television station KDSA in St. Louis, which is Ahearn's hometown.Ahearn, 27, averaged 23.8 points on 46.9 percent shooting for Reno in the NBA Development League this season. The former Missouri State point guard previously spent time in the NBA with Miami and San Antonio. He shot 40.9 percent behind the 3-point line for Reno while hitting 96.2 percent of his free-throw attempts.Ahearn would likely fill in for Jazz point guard Earl Watson, who injured his right knee Sunday during a loss at San Antonio. Watson was set to undergo an MRI on Monday. If Ahearn's signed, his addition would bring Utah's roster to 15.Steve Luhm and Brian T. SmithTwitter: @sluhm @tribjazz
