Point guard Devin Harris' availability for Friday night's game against Golden State at EnergySolution Arena is officially being called a "game-time decision" by the Jazz.
Harris was injured in Monday's 102-97 win at Portland. He did not play on Wednesday night, when the Jazz lost at home to Phoenix, 107-105. In his place, Earl Watson and Jamaal Tinsley combined for seven points, 10 assists and five rebounds against the Suns.
Harris planned to lightly participate in practice on Thursday morning.
"I'm doing O.K.," he said. "I'm going to test it today and see what happens. ... But I feel better than yesterday."
Asked how the injury continues to limit his play, Harris smiled and said, "Side-to-side, Pushing off. All the things I do well."
By chance, Harris planned to try out a new pair of shoes at practice. But it was not due to his ankle injury.
"This was planned before," he said.
The Jazz dropped to 28-27 by losing to the Suns. With only 11 games remaining in the abbreviated season, the last-second defeat was a significant setback in Utah's quest to reach the Western Conference playoffs.
"Disappointed but not discouraged," said Watson. "The typical emotion. We feel like we lost a couple of games we could have won -- like right there at the last second --- and it's tough. But losing builds character. We'll find a way to get better from it and go from there."
