The Jazz announced late Friday forward Josh Howard underwent a successful scope of his left knee. The surgery was performed by Thursday by Dr. David Altcheck in New York.
Howard will spend one week on crutches, then be re-examined. The Jazz will provide an update about Howard's recovery and status in two weeks.
The Salt Lake Tribune first reported Howard underwent successful arthroscopic surgery and the timeframe for his return could exceed initial expectations.
