-- Minnesota's All-Star forward Kevin Love returned in the fourth quarter after injuring his thumb: "I fell on it and it seems to be fine. At first it scared me a little bit because I have broken this thumb before a couple of times. But it's fine. It's just jammed." Love finished with 25 points and 16 rebounds.

-- The Jazz's C.J. Miles did not play after averaging over 22 minutes in the three games preceding the NBA trade deadline. According to coach Tyrone Corbin, Miles "was sick. He had some dizziness or something." In his place, Gordon Hayward played 38 minutes. Rookie Alec Burks played 31 after not getting into two straight games.

-- Six Jazz players reached double figures, including Hayward (26), Devin Harris (18), Paul Millsap (16), Burks (15), Al Jefferson (12) and Josh Howard (10). Said Minnesota coach Rick Adelman: "We didn't play a lot of their people very well. They did everything we said they were going to do at the start of the game, but I don't think we responded very well to it."

-- The Jazz squandered a 12-point lead with four minutes left in regulation and a seven-point lead with two minutes remaining in regulation. They managed only one point from their final five possessions. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves scored their final two baskets on offensive rebounds.

-- Asked about his missed uncontested layup at the end of regulation, Millsap smiled and said, "You want to make me re-live that?" Said Minnesota center Nikola Pekovic: "... We were really lucky to be in overtime. I thought we were going to win the game after they missed that shot."
