Favors named to play in Rising Stars Challenge

Utah Jazz second-year forward Derrick Favors will participate in upcoming All-Star Weekend festivities in Orlando, the NBA announced Tuesday.
Favors will play in the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday night. He replaces San Antonio's Tiago Splitter, who suffered a calf injury this week and is unable to play.
Favors joins Jazz teammate Gordon Hayward in the Rising Stars Challenge.
Hayward was one of the original 18 players named to play in the game. The rosters were bumped to 20 last week to make room for Knicks' sensation Jeremy Lin and Miami's Norris Cole.
