After their dominating 114-100 win over Washington, the Jazz head to Houston for Sunday night's game against the Rockets.
Utah tries to score back-to-back games wins for the first time since Jan. 28-30 against Houston, which has lost three of its last four.
According to coach Tyrone Corbin, the Jazz must play the same way they did against the Wizards if they want to start a winning streak.
"We have to understand why we were good [Friday] night and that's because our defense was good," Corbin said. "We executed well. We were aggressive. We picked the ball up early. Guys on the ball were pretty good, channeling the ball where we wanted. And the pick-and-roll guy was up early -- not letting their guys get a running start toward the basket for the most part."
Because Utah's defense was effective, the Jazz offense scored over 100 points for the first time in eight games.
"We were able to run the ball down the floor and attack them early," Corbin said.
Jazz rookie Alec Burks scored 13 points in 20 minutes against Washington.
After the Wizards trimmed a 28-point deficit to 94-80 midway through the fourth quarter, Burks scored two quick field goals to slow their momentum.
After not playing in four straight games, Burks has scored 32 points in 53 minutes against New Orleans, Oklahoma City and Washington.
"He did what we thought he'd do [against Washington]," Corbin said. "He attacked the basket. He can hit his jump shots, but he can really attack the basket and put pressure on guys. ... Defensively, he's getting better. He's learning how to put his body on guys and give guys different looks. And that will continue to get better as he gets more time on the floor."
