Jazz forward Derrick Favors has been fined $25,000 for throwing the basketball into the stands during Thursday night's 94-91 loss at Dallas.
Favors was called for an offensive foul by referee Matt Boland with 24.8 seconds left in the third quarter, just prior to the incident. NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson announced the fine Saturday afternoon.
