Denver — Jazz forward Josh Howard (strained left quadriceps) won't dress for a game against the Nuggets on Sunday at the Pepsi Center.
Howard is a late scratch from Utah's lineup. He strained his quad Jan. 3 during a win over Milwaukee and had been playing with lingering pain.
The Jazz are expected to have 12 active players.
