Denver — Excerpts from a postgame interview Wednesday with Jazz guard Alec Burks
On his 15 points in 9 minutes, 51 seconds: It was great to see the floor but I made mistakes. I'm just trying to learn from my mistakes and get better.
Speed of NBA game compared to college: It's a lot faster. I think people underrate the speed when they talk about it, you know? There's a lot of great athletes out here, so the speed is so quick. It's a big difference.
Feel the game slow down for the first time: I feel like it's about to slow down for me. I think today helped it out for me. … I got over [the hump] today. It kind of slowed down for me.
