Kirilenko set to begin practice for EuroBasket; Jazz's Okur back in U.S.
Published on Sep 9, 2011 06:28PM
Forward Andrei Kirilenko will soon begin practicing with Russia for the 2011 EuroBasket tournament.
Kirilenko stated several times last season while playing for the Jazz that he intended to compete for Russia. Insurance will not be an issue, and Kirilenko is fully healed from injuries that forced him to miss Utah's final 10 games of the 2010-11 campaign.
Kirilenko is no longer under contract with the Jazz and will be a free agent once the 2011-12 season starts.
Jazz center Mehmet Okur has returned to the United States and is doing well.
