Notes following the Jazz's NBA draft workout Sunday, which featured Markieff Morris (Kansas), Norris Cole (Cleveland State), Shelvin Mack (Butler), JaJuan Johnson (Purdue), Dallas Lauderdale (Ohio State) and Jeremy Tyler (San Diego, Calif.)

The Jazz will hold another workout Tuesday. Names of participating players have not been announced.

Utah plans to work out Enes Kanter on June 2-3 in Chicago. Jazz general manager Kevin O'Connor said media attention during the recent draft combine about Kanter not interviewing with Utah was much ado about nothing. O'Connor attributed Kanter's reluctance to interview with the Jazz and a few other teams to his nervousness about a language barrier. O'Connor said the ability to have a closed interview with Kanter is as important as seeing him work out.

Jazz representatives will head to Europe next week to look at prospects who won't be made available in the United States prior to the draft. Jan Vesely and Bismack Biyombo might be seen during the trip. The Jazz are not expected to see center Ante Tomic during the journey. Utah coach Tyrone Corbin said he did not have an update about Tomic's status.

O'Connor sees clear separation between the Nos. 3 and 12 picks. The game has changed, and there are so many varieties in different positions that Utah could take two guards — or two big men — with both picks and end up with unique players.

The Jazz might hire as many as two new assistants, and could add a development coach. The team is still going through the hiring process, though, and the draft takes precedence.

O'Connor's lips were sealed when he was asked about his draft thoughts. He acknowledged that Utah will likely take the best player available, but also said "no comment" about 15 times.

O'Connor said the Jazz are preparing for the draft with idea that Mehmet Okur might not return to action. O'Connor did not say that the veteran center won't. But by preparing for the worst, O'Connor said Utah is planning for the best.
