Official postgame quotes and notes following the Jazz's 98-88 home win over New Jersey on Wednesday.

Notes: The Jazz are now 47-26 all-time against the Nets, and 29-8 at home...Utah is now 5-1 when giving up less than 100 points, and 3-3 when scoring less than 100 points...This is the first time this season that all starters have scored in double digits (last time was 4/9/10 at New Orleans) and Charlotte is the only opponent to do it against the Jazz this season...The Jazz shot 1-for-12 (.083) from behind the three-point line, which is a season-low (previously .214)...Millsap had his fifth double-double this season (19 points, 15 rebounds)

Jerry Sloan – Head Coach (8-4)On the game"We had to play a pretty good game to be able to beat them. I thought they stayed in there, they're well coached, they did everything they could to get in the game. They missed some shots, and fortunately we made our free throws around the stretch."

On if he thought they gave a better effort tonight"They run an awful lot of pick-and-rolls, as much as anybody, and we got beat a few times, but I felt like we were much better than what it was the other night in the ball game. And that's what we've got to do, to try and continue to make improvements. The big guys have got to get themselves up there to give some help. Because that's why teams run pick-and-rolls. To get big guys involved."

Deron Williams – Guard (23 points, 8 assists) On Hayward's one handed dunk"It was nice. He came in off that right leg."

On tonight's game compared to Monday against Oklahoma City"We can still get better, a lot better defensively but we did good. The pick-and-rolls they ran we did a pretty good job keeping them out of the lane.

On being able to match their slow pace of play"Just making sure we executed and got stops. I thought we got stops when we needed to. You know, they made a little run, cut it down to I think like five or six, and we were able to get a stop and come back down, either get fouled or make a shot."

On the defense making some nice fast breaks from the Jazz"Yeah, it did. You know, when we get stops, we're able to get out and run. I think we have 25 fastbreak points in the first half, so that's pretty good."

Raja Bell – Guard (15 points, 5 rebounds)On the defensive effort"I thought we did a good job keeping our hands active, I think that showed in the steals and in the blocks. I think we have some work to do on our pick-and-roll defense. At times we fracture a little bit and we all aren't on the same page in pick and rolls. The better teams in the league really make you pay on pick and rolls."

On the offense"I think we're on the right page, on the right path. Guys are starting to understand exactly what's going on. It'll help everybody if I could knock down a couple shots here and there and figure out how to be a part of that."

Andrei Kirilenko – Forward (15 points, 4 blocks)On the defense tonight"As I've said, the more games you get use to those rotations and I think the third and fourth quarter we prevented Brook Lopez from getting the ball in the block."

On the balanced effort offensively"If you take a look at the stats, we're one of the best teams in the NBA for sharing the ball. Everybody played very unselfish; roll the ball fast, getting the extra pass for the open shooter. Tonight I think everybody [was] at the same level [offensively]."

On the second-half defense on Brook Lopez"I think we started doubling a little bit, trying to get the ball out of his hand and it worked out because he didn't make much assist down the stretch. I think that was one of the key reasons why we started doubling him because he didn't' pass much. It worked."Notes: The Nets outrebounded the Jazz 28-24 in the first half and 57-44 for the game...Brook Lopez led all scorers in the first half with 17 points, but was held to scoreless in the second half...Anthony Morrow led all scorers with 24, scoring 16 of his 24 in the second half...Despite outrebounding the Jazz, the Nets only dished out 11 assists for the game.

Avery Johnson – Head Coach (4-7)On the game"We come out and have a pretty good first quarter. Second quarter we weren't very good. Ball didn't move. Defense wasn't there. But again at the end of the day we hold them to 40 percent field goal shooting from the field and give up 98 points. But we couldn't drop it into the ocean as a team tonight. Shooting 37 percent from the field is not good."

On feeling like the game got away"Yeah it did. Our team, we're not at a point right now mentally where we really believe deep down in our gut that we can win these games. When we get there then we'll start beating an Orlando at home, we'll maybe get us a win against a really good Utah team on the road. But we gotta believe it and when you believe it your execution is going to be better. When we start believing it we're going to be a pretty good team."

Brook Lopez – Center (17 Points, 8 Rebounds)On the game tonight"We were getting good stops, and getting good looks on the other end. Anthony [Morrow] had a few good looks, Trav[Travis Outlaw] had a few good looks, and they just weren't going down. For the most point, we got stops when we needed to on the defensive end."

On if there was a big difference from the first half and the second half"I got good looks in the first half, you know, they were there, and we had Anthony [Morrow] really go in the second half, Devin [Harris] really go in the second half, so you know, they were really the focus."

Devin Harris – Guard (19 Points, 8 Assists)On the game"It just came down to getting stops, you know. They ran their offense, and they were doing a great job of getting to the free throw line. When it came down to getting stops in the game, we really couldn't prevent them from scoring. Whether it be from them getting good shots at the basket or them getting to the free throw line. And in games like this, you know, stops are key."

On playing Deron Williams"It's always nice to see him play. I've been seeing him since college, obviously, you know, we're good friends, and I thought it was a pretty solid matchup between the two of us. Obviously, he got the win, so I'm not too happy about that, but you know, we'll move on. But I thought he played very solid."
