Another Olympics has come and gone and with it, a whole ton of tweets. The map above captures those tweets, hinting at what we were talking about and when.

A few things stand out. For one, the U.S. really loved Shaun White, who is represented by white circles. T.J. Oshie and the opening and closing ceremonies also dominated Americans' tweets.

Among other things, it's also fascinating to see how the world lights up. Sometimes tweets appear to move regionally across the globe, which makes sense. But other times, the entire world lights up together — meaning we were all watching and tweeting simultaneously.
