Outdoor Retailer: DriDown Rain Jacket from Sierra Designs
Many rain jackets are designed as shells and provide little in the form of warmth. This jacket is for folks who know they will be in wet and cold situations. The shell is stitch-fee and protects 600-fill DriDown. The jacket blocks wind, but allows moisture from the inside to escape. It weighs 19 ounces, will run $299 and be available Fall 2014. www.sierradesigns.com
The Salt Lake Tribune is providing a look at some of the items spotted during the annual Outdoor Retailer Winter Market held Jan. 21-25 at the Salt Palace Convention Center. Previews of the gear will be posted on the Hiking Utah or Fishing Utah blogs. An overall look will run in the Business section of the Salt Lake Tribune Feb. 9.
