Outdoor Retailer Gear Preview: Not a tent, not a bivy; the Mountain Shelter
Published on Aug 27, 2012 11:52AM
When a bivy bag isn't quite enough and a tent is more than is needed the Mountain Shelter LT from Mountainsmith may fill the bill. Touted as a three-season "roof over your head" the two-person shelter can be set up with two trekking poles or hung from a tree. There is no floor, but a zippered single door, rear ventilation window and reflective guylines. Out in Spring 2012 for $130.
