Protection for your head does not have to be heavy. Black Diamond will release the Vapor helmet in Spring of 2013. Tipping the scales a 186 grams it truly is a lightweight. Company officials are calling it "the lightest, most comfortable and most breathable climbing helmet ever made". Kevlar and carbon rods rest between EPS foam and ventilation ports keep climbers cool in hot situations. The Vapor will run $139.95
