Utahns have already voiced their opinions on the matter. So have Wyoming residents. A recent survey showed 90 percent of Wyomingites (I asked a real born in Wyoming cowgirl if that was right) are against the Million Pipeline.

They don't want to see any further efforts to make the nightmare pipe dream created by a grad student in Colorado become an annoyingly expensive and ugly reality. The proposed pipeline would run east across Wyoming and make a turn south to the Front Range of Colorado. All told, 560 miles of the Million pipeline would be connected to one of the most scenic and productive (both fishing and economy wise) river systems in the West. The estimated $9 billion pipeline would suck, literally, the fisheries and economies of southwestern Wyoming and northeastern Utah dry to the tone of 81 billion gallons annually. Here's a story I did on the project last year and what its impacts might be if the silly thing is approved.

Many non-profit conservation groups — including some from Colorado — have united in battle against the pipeline, but Trout Unlimited was the one of the first to raise the red flag and get opposition rolling. Here's some links to more information.
