My column for this Sunday's Away section has hit the web. It is about the need for more money for the state's fisheries folks to do their jobs and how the Utah Office of Tourism could help with that by promoting fishing to increase the number of licenses sold. I've already had some responses on the column and I'd like more. What do you think about the current cost of the Utah fishing license and the coming increases(s)? Is the DWR doing a good job with the resources they have? What ideas do you have? With a new aquatics director slated to take over soon it seems like a good time to lay out some fresh ideas.
