Simultaneously, and closer to home, Taylorsville voted to protect gay and transgender residents from discrimination on the job and in housing -- making it the lucky seventh Utah government to adopt the protections. It all started, it must be noted, with the LDS Church's formal support of Salt Lake City's anti-discrimination ordinances.
