On the first of each month, Salt Lake City public libraries hand out free Community Exploration Cards, while supplies last. Each card provides free general admission for up to four people to Discovery Gateway children's museum, Red Butte Garden and The Leonardo museum and the Utah Museum of Natural History. A limited number of the cards are available at each of the Salt Lake City (not county) public libraries at the beginning of each month.

Each card is good for one month only. The cards are popular and go very fast, library employees say, so you'll want to go on the first of each month when the library nearest you opens to try and get one. For a list of city library branches and when each opens, go HERE. Go HERE for details about the card.
