Here's the first half of BYU football coach Bronco Mendenhall's interview with reporters on Monday night after the Cougars practiced at the indoor practice facility.
Mendenhall confirmed that freshman quarterback Taysom Hill suffered a season-ending knee injury on the third-to-last play in the game and that coaches were trying to get Hill to take a knee just seconds before the play happened.
Mendenhall took responsibility for the injury, blaming it on "miscommunication."
The coach also talks about the readiness level of senior quarterback Riley Nelson to play against Oregon State on Saturday.
