It should be an interesting time after BYU football practice Monday night, as coach Bronco Mendenhall addresses the media and talks about freshman quarterback Taysom Hill's injury. I'm thinking that's when BYU's official announcement will come, but who knows? It could come earlier via news release.
By now, it is no secret: Hill has a serious knee injury, suffered on his final running play of the game against Utah State when he could, and should, have been taking a knee. Specifics on Hill's knee injury will likely be made known, but several folks I have talked to say it is ligament damage, probably Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) or Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL), or both.
Most are saying they just hope Hill will be back in time for spring ball.

I am also hearing from a reliable source that junior receiver/tight end Marcus Mathews will join the list of players who will probably sit out the rest of the season and hope for a medical redshirt to get the year back. Mathews reportedly needs surgery on his sinuses.
