Video: Mendenhall says Riley Nelson is still BYU's starting QB
Published on Sep 29, 2012 01:30AM
BYU football coach Bronco Mendenhall addressed the starting quarterback situation at his postgame news conference on Friday night after freshman Taysom Hill led the Cougars to a 47-0 win over Hawaii while subbing for an injured Riley Nelson.
Mendenhall answered questions about Nelson's health and readiness level.
At the end of the interview, Mendenhall also addressed a question about whether or not Hill could have done something to earn the starting job next week. The answer was no; Mendenhall says Nelson is the starter if he is ready and capable of playing.
