The good news for BYU is that ESPN announced today that it has acquired five Mountain West Conference football games this fall (The Mtn. Network no longer exists) and one of those games is September's BYU at Boise State game.
The bad news for the Cougars is that the game will be played on Thursday, Sept. 20, just five days after BYU's rivalry game with the University of Utah in Salt Lake City on Sept. 15.
Talk about a rugged stretch of games.
After traveling to Boise State, the Cougars will have a couple extra days to prepare for a home contest against Hawaii.
Three of the five MWC games picked up by either ESPN/ESPN2/ABC involve Boise State, which is leaving for the Big East Conference (football only) after this upcoming season.
