Welcome to December, everyone. I have a little layover here in Denver, then it is on to Omaha for tonight's BYU-Creighton basketball game at Qwest Center. They are expecting a crowd of more than 15,000 tonight (6 p.m. MST) as the No. 21/25 Cougars take on the 4-2 Bluejays, part of the Missouri Valley/Mountain West Challenge. This is BYU's last game in the challenge, obviously, with the Cougars heading to the West Coast Conference next year. BYU beat Bradley in the challenge last year, in Provo. The Cougars will be shorthanded again tonight, as forward Chris Collinsworth will sit out with a sprained ankle. "His progress is slower than we would like," coach Dave Rose said Monday. "We thought we might be able to play him Wednesday night, but now Saturday [vs. Hawaii at Energy Solutions Arena] is looking a little bit doubtful, because the pain he's still having in certain areas of his ankle. So we will take it day by day." Collinsworth suffered the injury against Mississippi Valley State, and missed both games at the South Padre Island Invitational, which BYU won. "What we will try to do is try to be a little more versatile with a couple of our players and move them into that position," Rose said. "I know Logan [Magnusson] had a great weekend for us as far as guarding that position and being able to facilitate our offense through him. We will have to find a guy every game to pick up that slack." Jackson Emery had a sore shin on Monday and was pulled out of practice for treatment, but should play tonight.
