Creedence Clearwater Revisited

Spotlight Show • Creedence Clearwater Revisited opens up a rock 'n' roll weekend at the Sandy Amphitheater, with Mike Love's version of the Beach Boys headlining on Saturday. Creedence Clearwater Revisited is a band formed in 1995 by former Creedence Clearwater Revival members Stu Cook (on bass) and Doug Clifford (drums), and the band plays all of their former band's classic hits, from "Forunate Son" to "Green River." In an interview, Cook said he and Clifford have been long-term bandmates and friends with Clifford (but not with the band's John Fogerty, who is reportedly none too happy about the existence of Creedence Clearwater Revisited). "[Clifford and I] share the same interests," Cook said.. "We were school mates. We had some great adventures." Clifford and Cook originally regrouped to play a few shows for fun, but 19 years later, they are still at it. "We had no idea how deep the CCR fanbase was," Cook said. "The band is here for the fans."
