The six resident performing arts companies at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center will join forces for a second annual weekend celebration this weekend of dance, theatre and music.
Last year, over 1,000 Utahns visited Rose Wagner for the first annual celebration.
New this year is an outdoor festival presented by EVE — SLC’s three-day New Year’s Eve Celebration — backed by the Downtown Alliance.
The block party-like atmosphere will include a cash bar, live music and DJ performances on Friday evening from 6 – 10 p.m.
The Rose Exposed consists of a $15 Variety Show on Friday, August 30 at 8 p.m. and a day-long series of workshops, classes, readings, performances, and open rehearsals on Saturday, August 31.
All events on Saturday, August 31 are free. $15 Variety Show and free tickets to the Saturday events are available online at www.roseXposed.org.
At the Variety Show, audiences will sample all six companies in one evening.
Saturday’s free events include a Sporty Yoga session, parent-child and other dance workshops, theatre makeup workshops, forums, performances (including a return of last year’s popular event Peter and the Wolf), readings, and much much more. Details are provided below.
The Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center is located at 138 W Broadway (300 S), SLC
