The Utah Music Association will unite the state's musicians and music professionals with a networking luau and outdoor concert in Alpine on Saturday, Aug. 24.
Utah Music Association Executive Director Tyler Monks believes Utah's growing music industry should be celebrated, and anticipates a large and diverse crowd, he said in a press release
"We'll have producers, engineers, musicians, managers, promoters, artists, venue owners, radio producers, music lovers and more," Monks said. "This industry party is the best networking in the state."
Utah's homegrown musical talent will include Jimmy Chunga, 14-year-old singer-songwriter Faith Johnson, and alternative-electronic band Joel Pack and the Pops.
Traditional Hawaiian food and drink will be served on the night.

The Utah Music Association was founded in April 2012 as an advocacy organization for Utah musicians and music industry professionals. The organization helps unite performers, artists, DJs, producers, songwriters, promoters, venues, radio, composers, teachers, engineers, and musicians.
