The Ogden Roots and Blues Festival is just over a week away, to be held August 23-25 at North Fork Park.

Headlining is Bettye LaVette, recently nominated for a Blues Music Award in the 'Contemporary Blues Female Artist' category. With a musical career that spans 50 years, LaVette has played with many musicians including Clyde McPhatter, Ben E. King, Barbara Lynn, and even Otis Redding.
