From the press release:
The centerpiece of their upcoming album is a performance of The Rite of Spring and was recorded live on May 29, 2013100 years to the day from its original premiere in Paris. Composed in 1913 by Igor Stravinsky for Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes, it was a controversial piece that sparked a riot in the packed theatre during its premiere. Produced by Adam Abeshouse, Grammy winner (and two time nominee) for Classical Producer of the Year in 1999, the live recording also features five-piano arrangements of three movements from Gustav Holst's The Planets and Danse Macabre, a tone poem by Camille Saint-Saëns.
May 29, 2013 was also the birth day of my daughter Ruthie.
