From the press release: A favorite Italian recipe: Take a good dose of love, add a few sprinkles of destiny, a generous scoop of thanks, just a pinch of comedy. With a recipe like that, the Salt Lake Symphony’s bicentennial celebration of this Italian composer is sure to please all lovers of music. Collaborating once again with the Utah Voices and their director, Dr. Michael Huff, the Salt Lake Symphony will end their 2012-13 season in a big way. Come hear audience favorites and find out which were Verdi's favorites as well—he requested to be buried with the score to one of the evening's selections. Now, that's an intriguing recipe for a concert! Music includes selections from the operas, La Forza del Destino, Il Trovatore, Aida and Nabucco, as well as Verdi’s Four Sacred Pieces.
