Provo's Rooftop Concert Series begins Friday, but needs help with funding

Mindy Gledhill, a Utah County-based musician who is one if the founders of Provo's Rooftop Concert Series, has launched a PledgeMusic Campaign to use the platform to keep the series free to the community.

But to do so, she needs help from the community.

If Mindy's campaign is funded, the Rooftop Concert Series will be helped, too. Sammy's Café in Provo is also getting involved during their Five Year Anniversary Celebration. Sammy's will match up to $1,000 in pledges to Mindy's PledgeMusic Campaign until May 5. Anyone that pledges within this time frame will receive a free VIP pass to a to a private Sammy's Concert with Gledhill.Her next album will be produced by Cason Cooley (Sixpence None the Richer, Katie Herzig, Matthew Perryman Jones, Matt Kearney). The University of Utah-educated Kaskade has featured her on four tracks including the first single on his GRAMMY-nominated album "Fire & Ice" (2012) which reached No. 17 on the Billboard album chart.

Desert Noises will headline the first concert of the series this Friday, with The Blue Aces and Caleb Danger opening. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Provo Town Square Parking Terrace as the corner of 100 North and 100 West.
