A motivational conference for women featuring inspirational speakers and musical artists will be presented May 4 at the Cottonwood High School Auditorium.

Admission is free.

This full-day of music and motivation for women, called "Inspire My Life," will include national recording artist Jesse Clark Funk, who has toured with Maureen McGovern and the Broadway musical "Footloose," and instructor at the Salt Lake Institute of Religion and former mission presiden Dr. David A. Christensen, three other performers and two other speakers. The event is being sponsored and underwritten by R Legacy Entertainment. Angel Shannon, morning radio show host at FM 100, and Melanie Day, creator of the well-known community blog, Sugardoodle, will be co-MCs.Proceeds from the event will benefit People Helping People, an organization that helps prevent childhood poverty by strengthening the income-earning potential of low-income women. Donations received at the conference will support People Helping People programs.The conference will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets can be downloaded at http://www.inspiremylife.com.

Cottonwood High School is located at 5715 South 1300 East in Salt Lake.Besides David Christensen, other speakers include Vickey Pahnke, a corporate speaker, author, songwriter, producer and president of a production company providing positive choice programs for youth throughout the U.S.Funk will be joined by three other musical artists: Katherine Nelson, a Nashville recording artist whose most recent CD, "Born Brave," was ranked on Amazon.com's Top Ten Hot New Releases list; country artist Charley Jenkins, who was introduced to millions of Americans through NBC television as well as the Today Show and who has performed with LeAnn Rimes, Lonestar, Montgomery Gentry, Kellie Pickler, Taylor Swift, Josh Turner and many others; and singer Daniel Beck, who has performed and acted in films, concerts and on stage for the past 16 years and released a solo album.

The conference is presented by R Legacy Entertainment, a local music company with a record label, online music store, and distribution network. Founded by entrepreneur Gaylen Rust in 2008, R Legacy Entertainment was created to boost the careers of emerging and established musicians.
