Zakk Wylde, the leader of hard rock band Black Label Society — and axman for Ozzy Osbourne — will give a special acoustic performance with bandmate Nick Catanese.

It will be combined with a reading and question-and-answer session about his new book, Bringing Metal to the Children: The Complete Berzerker's Guide to World Tour Domination.

Warning! This is not a children's book.

Rather, "It's 'Seinfeld' on steroids," said Wylde, 46, in a recent telephone interview. "It's like 'Animal House.' "

After nearly three decades in show business, Wylde decided to regale his fans with behind-the-scenes yarns from life on the road.

It includes profane and often hilarious anecdotes that sometimes revolve around bowel movements — moments when he and his co-author had "tears coming from our eyes and pissing ourselves."

Sharing stories is a skill Wylde learned from Osbourne, who backstage would tell tall tales about rock-and-roll excess.

According to Wylde, "half of [the book] has advice in it — we had to put in 'what not to do.' "
