Published on Feb 8, 2013 11:10AM
This weekend marks the 50th anniversary of the Feb. 9 1963 death of a 51-year-old barmaid at a soceity event held at Baltimore's Emerson Hotel, which was immortalized in Bob Dylan's moving "The Loneseom Death of Hattie Carroll."
The song was recorded later that year in October and released on the "The Times They Are a-Changing" album released in January 1964.
